Inside the envelope with the zine, Der KleineTierfreund, was this wonderful altered postcard from Svenja! The message is clear to me.  If you wear one of those hats you are so cool, calm and collected, you can even stroke a model eyeball in a torrent of water and vaoid getting wet! Brilliant! Tierfreund Zine - Svenja Wahl

I selected a few of my favourite zine pages from Svenja's wonderful Project: Tierfreund, to share.  Other artists pages (including my own) have been shared elsewhere.  Artists included in these scanned pages are - Svenja Wahl, Deborah Stevenson, Carina Granlund, Susanna Lakner and Sabine Remy.  Isn't it wonderful!

 What a delight!  Thank you Svenja and I love your doodle-back.  Can't remember if this collab was more than just me and Diane to begin.  But maybe the raw doodles trump the coloured in things?

Svenja has a new project and I enthusiastically agreed to take part. It was just before I went to Maine that I said yes and then I wasn't here when it arrived and now I am slow to get started again and I certainly hope Svenja isn't waiting for my contribution! It will come soon!

The new project is called "Der kleine Tierfreund“ (The little animal lover).and Svenja sent me one of the covers and she hopes I will add, modify and collage onto it.

Svenja's start has given me ideas and I am itching to let them express themselves! I feel like I have just entered a Hannah Hoch time machine.

Svenja Wahl care package arrive

Such a lot of inspiring stuff here!   The envelope shouted Svenja and I yodeled a hooray in return!  What a beauty! As I look I wonder if all of this should be filed in MSK.  Svenja's colour tends towards the organic, the monochrome, and then there's that sweater - definitely Kodachrome.  There is an equally garish one on the other side. And that deer is actually outlined in a hot pink, which subdues in the scanner. The thing is, I will show all the stuff I receive from now until June at the mail art exhibition, wherether I file it here or there, whether it meets the brief, or not. 

I love Svenja's mountaineers climbing on the wrinkle range. Can we find that place on the map?  Those expressions must be used, but I hate to change one thing in this wonderful care package! Many thanks Svenja.  I like it all!
