49 Years of Progress erased.

Adam's personalised stamps are a thing of beauty with a solid message.  In this case he helps us to look carefully at the butterflys and to protect them. IMHO, creating a thing of beauty is a way to get people to take notice and hopefully change behaviour. In this case, perhaps progress isn't necessarily good! 

Moving on to stickers, I am struck by their anger at the state of the justice department. Again, the images are compelling. They help me to feel the depressing truth about one branch of the Govt.

The booklet describes Adam's journey with collaborators and singularly in the mail art (rubber stamps) world. LOOK CAREFULLY at the beautiful work.

 

Vaccinate and Celebrate

Following on from the two previous posts, Tofu, like Carina and James has created stunning graphic mail art, this time from hand cut rubber stamps, I think. The visceral response to lots of needles came over me in a wave. It is at once beautiful and scary.

Lettuce sing fluxliciously, with Jude Weirmeir!

For sure the world would be a better place if we all sang our vegetables! 

Jude, you can't imagine how similar or minds must be…. Once I got a bunch of scientists at the Royal Academy to sing some potted bulbs and daffodils! But the bean notation and fused veggie notes, pure genius.

Ringing in the New Year with gusto - Trash boekie from Vizma Bruns!

 After all the excesses of Christmas looking back over this wonderful trashbook that I received fromVizma before Christmasthis book reminds me how everything can and should be saved for potential sharing with my precious network! Vizma can create rhythm and stories with absolute crap (and a few choice stamps).  This book is postcard size, sort of. Great stuff!  Of course I am particulalry fond of the chapter about wetsuits.
