More Resistance from Mars

I heard a fascinating programme on women's hour today.  There was a panel of women from the Charlottesville protest.You can find it here and it's today's women's hour, 18th August, 2017 http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b007qlvb/episodes/player You might be able to access it here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b090vdk3 I think Mars is speaking to the current climate of a rarified climate for women like us and what our role should be.   whatever she meant, it is a great image with a nudge and wink and a pattern of behaviour.

The Strongest Caged Birds or Delicate Blossoms?

One never knows about these things but Mars Tokyo's collage with RESIST stamped on the reverse speaks to me of our beliefs about women, their place and their nature and the masks we wear. - All of which interests me!  

In terms of the image, I remember buying vintage clothes and trying to squeeze my boyish hips and waist into these kinds of dresses ands feeling like a failure.  Now I wear colour and focus on the drama of costume!

Fluxus Fish from Mars Tokyo!

So excited (and a little daunted) to receive another beautiful, exciting card from Mars Tokyo, this time clearly labeled FLUXUS, in case I'm not sure this time! And you know, the repetition of colour, the humorous X over the eye, the balance are flux with an aesthetic eye. I am so far behind, I have never caught up this year but Mars Tokyo, you are on the top of my list. Many thanks!
