Received this card from Stripygoose recently. We were on the 365 roster together and discovered our mutual love of tea. I'm ashamed to say that I haven't visited mailart 365 in some time... time was I was there every day! Check it out if you're interested:  http://mailart365.blogspot.co.uk

I noticed that this card is no 110 so went to the blog as see that Stripygoose has begun again.  She's on number 3, I think. 110 seems to be from the first series, made on the 19th of June.  I guess Stripygoose is mailing her cards out over time.  Lots of 365 mail artists did that and I certainly understand, but If you know me you'll understand that I timed the final day with mailing the final card and had to control myself not to mail (and finish) a day early.

Love the balance of this and that afternoon feeling.  Stripygoose, I have never had dandelion tea, but fennel and ginger are faves of mine too.  Having said that, I have to admit that in the afternoon I usually need a little Lapsong Souchang, smoky Earl Grey or Mrs Kant. Bottoms up and have fun with 365/2

Bris Chris is coming a long way for a cuppa

Perhaps it's thinking about the long journey for a cup of tea that creates the tension in this card from Chris!  Perhaps the beautiful posture of the tea lady is a result of years of teapot balancing?  I went to a 'mighty-sorry school' where they had us walk in a circle balancing a bell on our heads, for posture or to improve our gait... 
When I did my mail art 365 there were a few of us who used tea as a motif. I'm partial to earl grey, but if Chris is coming from the other side of the world just for a cuppa I will pour here anything she likes!
This is #265/365.  I just checked... Chris is on 275/365 now.  Go Chris! 

365 friends

The other day someone asked me why I like to run.  I said I feel like what I think a colt feels like when I am gamboling around the fields... but not every day, somedays I don't want to run and going out and not knowing why you're doing it and not liking the process is bewildering. My dog loves to run with me, so we do it together.

Mailart 365 http://mailart365.blogspot.co.uk was comparable to a year long marathon.  I made mailart every day because I said I was going to.  Somedays I loved the have to do it feel, but sometimes I had no ideas and no one I wanted to communicate with.  Luckily I was doing it with a group of other people, that helped it make more sense.  This week I got some very welcome post from old 365ers.

 JJalltheway and I swapped a bunch of postcards.  She began early, if not at the beginning of the 365 group. I began in September 2011.  JJ and I discovered that we had teenagers of a similar age, so when she writes in this postcard of being 'wrapped up in sending my baby to college,' and not sending much mailart, I can relate!  JJ's exciting news, and exciting imagery is thanks to a letterpress.  I am touched that JJ sent me this card - her first project made with it!

Spopod and I discovered in our mutual tea imagery that we both love tea. We also exchanged quite a few postcards over the 365 period,  so am very pleased to have this tribute to tea as a reminder of Spopod and to commemorate our love of leaves.  It makes me thirsty, so I'm off to brew up a pot with earl grey from our suppliers Norwich! Laura thinks we have better tea here on this side of the pond. She's probably right!
