First, an apology for uploading these in a random order. But, I have to admit to loving the image that came up first. This 'Pansy' ATC reads dragon or bird, to me. Its delicacy makes me swoon . Vizma chose well and the algorithym in my scanner was on message.
It's been a long time since I had mail from Vizma, but it's certainly not her fault. Mail art, as far as I'm concerned, is a slow conversation. This participant has been very, very slow but what I notice is that Vizma's generosity and the variety in her mailings persists. I love the gem washi tape, too.
I may have mentioned that I turned sixty after Christmas so, I think Vizma may be aluding to that. The answer is, not blurry, but fun and fizzy. We played a game our daughter invented with her partner about mudlarking and another game, my husband found that turned our kitchen table into a curling rink. In 2019 I was sick, sick, sick. This year it was much better! and we had a scrumptious meal and a cake to die for.
When I stamp a rubber stamp I always think about 'exquisite corpse' Vizma has done it perfectly here.
!! I love the way the mail art community has taken the virus and played with it. I bought some fabric in a pack of offcuts and when I was composing a mask discovered that it read coronavirus. All I can say is ouch.
Thanks Vizma, I have already made a return!

In The Thickets Evening - Vizma mailing
This package came from Vizma quite some time ago. I knew she wasn't on social media and I am blogging slowly. When vVzma dressed up her cats she wouldn't have know that women all over the world would be donning pink pussy hats and taking to the streets, but this card has new resonance for me. The CATS Meouw.
Like Carina, Vizma is a wrapper... and this wrapping may need to go into my fusing pile, rather than be archived. I love anything polka dotted and transparent with yellows spots, ooh la la.
Vizma is also a master of the cut up. She and Marie have a very special way with words and text. This time we seem to have a hephalump as well. Look closely at the words. What Vizma has chosen is definitely her lexicon! HEH HEH HEH.
Vizma and I collaborated on the two above postcards.
And not only that, Vizma is tireless and such an inspiration, an absolute mail art trouper. But the really impressive thing is the breadth and beauty of everything she sends!
The final few scans are a beautiful card story, laced together combining imagery and words in a funny and esoteric triumph. Huge thanks as ever, Vizma!

Groovin redheads from 15C
Just fabulous to get some fat mail from Vizma! I love my mail art 'nickname' in lights - that burlesque thing was a highlight for me and I love that Vizma has sent this reminder! Maybe this will be the catalyst for my own wacky mail art sensibilities to return…
The back of the postcards have Vizma's stamp and signature. They have a haptic quality and understated colour - fun to respond to.
Nothing about Vizma's mail art is ever too serious. This card makes me wonder if some cats need glasses and whether some cats are vain?
Above is for my eyes only - silly stuff is perfect!
I finally have a few things on deck to send out and one is going back to Vizma, but I need a bit more time to respond to this wonderful mail! Huge thanks!
