Asemic trashpo doodle bubble

Do I recognise that doodle? Should I open the envelope? A new form of trashpo has been bornWOW or OW. Void, void, void. I suspect this is DK's latest foray into new material! I await instructions.  Do I add to this.  Do I leave it in tact? should it bounce back like a Wilson tennis ball? Or should I just relax and enjoy it?

Thank you, whoever you are.

Update: Have just checked my IUOMA messages and see this come from Borderline Grafix!

Our Trash edition of the DKuLT Fan Club (Vol IIIVIIV) - BG

Apologies for such late posting of this DKULT fan mail, which arrived in good time for the Karnival of Trash. Interestingly, the colours on Pgs, 2 and 3 are clearly looking forward to halloween, Christmas and Valentines day, so no problem there! As ever, it's a pleasure to look back on the recent past, to be connected to all the trashpoets in our lives and to share our communal appreciation of DKULT's trash output in BG's whimsical way.

On returning from Maine

Fabulous to have this pile of mail art to open over the next week or so and blog, bit by bit.  I got another two today which will be folded into my blogging pile.  I am determined to savour each piece of mail and equally determined to begin sending things out again with regularity.

With excitement and anticipation!

Borderline Grafix' vol IIIVVV Dkult Fanzine

This issue of the Dkult fanzine is teaming with great stuff from the archives. There were also, certainly, some surprises.  For one, I never feature in the Dkult news, when spokesmodels and spokespeople are nominated, my name never comes up. So it was fascinating to see my self in the belly of the bull (I like the illiteration of bull, I know it's a cow…) I am surprised to see De Villo Sloan sending out adds and passes again when he always just complains about non-compliance.

This issue gives an aspiring trashpoet lots of ideas too.  For example, you can dumpster dive and pull out string and use it in your vispo.

I love having some replica mail art relics too from some of the masters: NBS, Amy Irwin, DVS, do I spy DK, or is that Meeah?

But the essay at the back is this issue's crowning glory!  In fact, it must be an election speech for DKult TX storm to international emperor, or something.  I feel my heart fluttering with patriotic DKult Trashpo zeal!  One thing I'd like to add is that the international trashpo initiative is also spreading trash around the world.  We are like the spanish explorers, bringing regional trash finds  to hungry expatriots and other intrepid pleasure seekers.

BG's spear-i-ous advice

BG couldn't have known that the Moss Family girls have a phobia of bulls, cows, ruminants with horns.  I may have spoken of it before but I ran with cows in Kenya, fearlessly, but here in England, cows and bulls are different.

I'm not surprised that BG has worked all of this out, mail artists are like that, they have an uncanny way of identifying secret traits of other mail artists.   But what a funny thing for BG to have deduced about me! The image makes me feel a little queasy and to be honest I have been avoiding those states where bison roam free, just in case I happened upon one.  I will continue to avoid the wilds of the Northwest Territories...

BG seems to have doodled a bit on the pig, too. Brilliant! He is also being a devout environmentalist, sending me back the same envelope I sent him something in.  Unlike Diane, he did restamp the envelope, though!

Borderline Grafix and the Grafitti Girls

I wonder if anyone else used to try to think up names of bands during Maths' lessons?  I know that being in a band with a really wonderful name was one of my fantasies… So imagine how delighted I was when Borderline Grafix' card arrived and for a moment I forgot I am no longer a brunette with long hair and that neither my voice nor my instrumental skills ever developed to the point of Diva.

BG probably doesn't know that where I live the Tractor Boys are big, either.
Love the energy of both sides of this collage postcard!  Very more than half way through February.

DKult research Issue - Borderline Grafix

Whoopee, I got my own copy of the latest DKult zine: the DKult Research Issue (Scientific Inquiry), from Borderline Grafix!  This haptic issue contains examples of had carved artiststamps, stickers, ironic photos, scientific symbols arranged asemicly, propoganda, DKult lexicon, pop culture, handwritten additions and images and language to make one feel inferior, in the know and part of the club simultaneously.  It's brilliant! I can't wait to see the Dkult Poetry Pamphlet that I'm sure must be the best edition to follow! Huge thanks Borderline.

Here ye here ye! DKult Fan Club vol IIIV has arrived - Borderline Grafix

OMG I am so happy to be part of this publication.  Well, I'm not part of it, BG doesn't even mention DKult UK, (it is very NY-centric but what do you expect as he and she who shout loudest get the most attention) but to receive it and do I dare say it, UNDERSTAND it.  Noodlism. It makes me pine for my days as a hasher (food server to some). I feel like I lived all this.  Great pics and now so informed!  Thanks so much BG!

DKULT Fan Club fanzine, Borderline Grafix

So much to consider here about life, lifestyle, scientific breakthroughs, cautionary tales and instruction for success as a DKULTer. I am encouraged that so many wonderful happenings are taking place in the promise(dkult) land.

I am concerned that one of the genetically modified mammals has escaped, though (were they relocated to local Cambridge laboratories?) Just yesterday I was disturbed by our dog, LYRA, who was barking obstreperously at the horizon.  On careful inspection I realised there was a stationary rat on the grass. I got very close, while trying to ascertain why the rat was not running away.  It looked remarkably like the specimen in my DKULT fanzine, although it may have been a bit rounder, heavier, can you call a rat fat without causing insult?

Luckily the rat eventually moved, I missed its escape...Lyra stopped barking and I was able to return to my work. But if this is 'said' rat perhaps the engineering is not quite right?

Many thanks for BG. My copy is already quite well thumbed!
