There is joy, honesty, facts, aesthetics and collaboration in a Sticker Dude mailing. Mail art is, after all, an exchange. Sometimes Sticker Dude sends me work for the archives and I am always so grateful. He culls work that tells a story, or that enhances his story and I feel as if I am getting the cream at the top of the bottle of milk in Mail art. Look at the stamps on the envelope. Beauty, chemistry, a polymath, commentary 'out of bounds' and stickers produced by Joel but conceived by others.  In this mailing: William Mellott, Sebela Bana and Adam Roussopoulos. Red letter day with Ed and Joel

Although I have chosen a rhyming title for this post, and I am pleased to receive mail art from Ed and Joel, this mail art packs a punch and is definately of the protest variety.  

Ed nudges me in a protesting way with the word collaboration boldly across the back of the envelope, inviting me, I think, to add to the red mail art. Could this also be a plea to our 'leaders' to avoid embroiling us in hot-headed misery of conflict? 

The stamp, 'rage begets rage' is the face of a sociopath, manic and grinning, let's hope we can dampen the rage and avoid an insane world afterthought… 

Thanks guys for carrying the protest torch. I will try to add to it.

Wonderful as only home: Guyver/Warren collab going out

Tomorrow I will post Simon this print-out of his pages 1-23 and some collage images inspired by his words. I haven't asked Simon and I have used my 'automatic collage' aproach, so these are quick responses, guided mostly by colour and composition while I juggle his words and a few images I made and looked for opportunities to interject - hand-coloured images of trains. These are collaged memories.
